Apple iPhone 17 Announcement [1:09]

Apple announced the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, and iPhone 17 Pro. The iPhone 17 features a dual camera with a 48-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel 2x telephoto lens. It also includes a square front-facing "center stage" camera that offers four composition options and rotates for landscape selfies. The iPhone Air has a single 48-megapixel fusion camera that crops to a 12-megapixel image and the same front camera as the iPhone 17. The iPhone 17 Pro has an 8x optical quality zoom lens, equivalent to a 200mm focal length, thanks to a tetroprism design and a 56% larger sensor. It has three 48-megapixel fusion cameras, providing 1x, 2x, 4x, and 8x telephoto zoom capabilities, with a digital zoom up to 40x.

Nikon ZR Announcement [3:47]

Nikon announced the ZR, its first cinema-focused camera incorporating Red tech, which includes Red color science. The ZR's body is similar to the Z6 III but lacks the EVF and grip, and it features a 4-inch varangle touchscreen. It uses the same stacked 24.5-megapixel full-frame sensor with an EXPEED 7 processor and dual-base ISO of 800 and 6400. It can shoot Red Raw internally and has two memory card slots: CF ExpressB and micro SD. The camera lacks quarter-20 mounts, likely requiring a cage for accessories. It is lighter than the Z6 III and has a fanless design for heat management. It features a digital hot shoe and a 3.5mm jack that can record 32-bit float audio with compatible microphones. The ZR can shoot 5.4K up to 30p in 10-bit 4:2:2 ProRes HQ or up to 60p in 10-bit 4:2:0, and 6K up to 60p RAW video in N-RAW or up to 30p in ProRes RAW. It has 7.5 stops of IBIS (In-Body Image Stabilization). The price is $2,200.

Canon Cinema EOS C50 Announcement [6:55]

Canon announced their Cinema EOS C50 cinema camera, which is their smallest cinema EOS camera to date. It can switch between cinema and stills modes. It is similar in size to the R5C but lacks an EVF, relying on a 3-inch screen. The camera includes a top handle and quarter-20 mounts for cage-free design. It has a built-in fan and two card slots (CF ExpressB and SD) but lacks built-in ND filters and IBIS. The C50 features a new 32-megapixel full-frame sensor with the same processor as the C80, but it is not stacked, BSI, or stabilized. It offers open gate recording, capturing the full 32-megapixel sensor in 7K, and can record 7K 12-bit Cinema Raw Light up to 60p internally or up to 30p in open gate. Full-frame DCI 4K is available up to 120p in 10-bit 4:2:2, oversampled from 7K up to 30p, and 2K up to 1080p for super slow motion. The C50 is priced at $38.99 and includes the top handle.
