Maharashtra and Gujarat are the states with the highest cotton production, and black soil is important for cotton cultivation. The scheme was announced in Hyderabad by Mr. Kishan Reddy. The trial will start in the Akola district of Maharashtra. Cotton Day was celebrated on October 7th, involving four Cotton Countries. The MSP (Minimum Support Price) for cotton has doubled in the last 10 years. The Indian cotton brand is called Kasturi.
