Long ago, a massive ship from Earth arrived on Kepler in search of the Caralo plant, a source of astonishingly powerful super energy. The Earthers, like barbarians, harvested Caralo to the point of extinction, leaving Kepler a deserted wasteland. However, one Earther named Counta, feeling guilty, hid the Caralo mother tree in a secret place, protecting it with his life. Counta disappeared, and the other Earthers' spaceship never made it back to Earth. One greedy Earther survived, climbed to the top of the volcano Sicy, awakened the fire dragon, and retrieved a lone Caralo seed. He used it to seize control of the burning city, claiming that only when everyone yielded to his throne could the Caralo seed sprout again. This man became known as the ferocious Louis Baba.

Louis Baba's forces are searching for Caralo. Axel is determined to find Caralo, guided by a book, but Papa Chi is skeptical and warns him against believing in the legends of Counta and Louis Baba. Gaga accuses Papa Chi of being a coward, referencing his past as a colonel in the Kepler army. Papa Chi expresses his fears for Gaga's safety, admitting his own cowardice stems from worrying about her being too brave.
