Intro [0:00]
This is an introduction to the monthly creator roundup, which will cover new features and updates for YouTube creators.
Account Status [0:03]
YouTube has launched a new account status page in the YouTube Studio mobile app for all creators globally. This feature provides a quick overview of your channel's health, consolidating copyright alerts, Community Guidelines strikes, and monetisation eligibility into one place. The page highlights any issues needing attention and offers actionable steps to resolve them, helping creators maintain their channel's good standing. To access it, tap your profile picture in the top-right corner of the Studio Mobile app and select "account status".
Live Countdown Sticker [0:37]
Live countdown stickers have been introduced as a way to build excitement for specific moments during live streams or special reveals. To add a countdown, tap the stickers icon and select "countdown". You can choose a colour, add a title, and set the duration of the countdown. Before starting the countdown, you can reposition and resize the sticker to ensure it looks right on your live stream.
Shorts Reimagine [1:12]
The Shorts Remix feature has been updated with "reimagine," allowing creators to generate new ideas for Shorts. To use it, tap the remix icon and select "reimagine." You can type your own idea or select a suggestion if you need inspiration. Reference photos can also be added alongside your prompt. The feature generates a preview of your idea, which you can then edit and publish as a Short. Published Shorts include a link back to the original Short that was remixed.
Unique Reach in Analytics [1:49]
YouTube is introducing "unique reach," a metric that estimates the total number of unique people who have viewed your video or channel. This metric helps creators estimate their total audience size, which is useful for pitching brand deals and aligns YouTube's performance data with TV industry standards. Unique reach can be found in YouTube Studio analytics under the advanced mode. For example, you might see 10 million unique people compared to 8 million views.
Ask Studio Conversation History [2:16]
Conversation history has been added to Ask Studio, and is now available to creators globally. This feature allows you to revisit and manage your past prompts, making it easier to pick up where you left off and reference previous community insights or analytic summaries specific to your channel. To access it, tap the menu icon within Ask Studio to view a list of your past conversations, sorted by recency.
Gifts & Jewels Expansion [2:40]
Gifts and jewels are expanding to more countries, including Brazil, Mexico, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and 16 additional countries across Latin America. Gifts are a way for viewers to express appreciation during live streams. Viewers purchase digital items called jewels to unlock these gifts, and creators earn rubies based on the number of jewels redeemed on their content. To enable this, go to the Earn Hub in YouTube Studio to accept the virtual items module and turn on gifts for your next stream.
