INTRO [0:00]
The message for the year 2025 is to focus on God's Holy Word, emphasizing Jesus' role throughout the Bible, from creator to Messiah. The speaker welcomes the congregation and those connected online, expressing gratitude for their prayers and highlighting the honor of being together. Psalm 63:1-5 is read as a call to thank God for His love and blessings, acknowledging that being called children of God is undeserved yet given out of love. A prayer is offered, thanking God for His care, blessings, and the opportunity to worship, asking for wisdom and discernment for the speaker of the day's message, and for the praise band to open the heavens with their worship.
ALABANZA [8:30]
The congregation engages in a worship session, singing praises to God and declaring His worthiness. The lyrics emphasize dancing freely in His presence, being covered by His light of love, and recognizing themselves as children of the great I am. The songs continue to exalt God as king over creation, expressing a desire for Him to break darkness and shine in glory. The worship culminates in adoration and a declaration of Jesus' name over every heart and mind, seeking peace and freedom from addictions and depression. The name of Jesus is proclaimed as power, healing, and freedom, with a call to break chains and shine light in darkness. The worship team leads the church in singing about exalting Jesus from the mountains to the cities, over every enemy and for their families. The session concludes with songs about arriving on a cloud surrounded by glory and majesty, joining the elders in worship, and declaring God as holy.
PREDICA [30:10]
The sermon begins with Proverbs 3:5-6, urging listeners to trust in the Lord with all their heart and not rely on their own understanding. The sermon's theme is "Everything changes when God comes first," emphasizing that while many claim to put God first, their actions may not reflect this. The speaker clarifies that faith should not deny reality and warns against a false theology that attempts to force God to fulfill personal desires. The human capacity to decree is acknowledged, but it's stressed that such decrees do not bend God's will. Believers should live a genuine faith rooted in God's word, understanding that God still speaks today but within His sovereignty.
The speaker poses the question of what happens when God is or isn't first in one's life, noting that God seeks a holy church without stain or wrinkle. Six aspects of trusting in Jehovah wholeheartedly are presented:
- God is a God of character and order: God leaves nothing to chance, transforming chaos into cosmos. Ignoring this order leads to human opinions replacing God's truth, the material replacing the eternal, and work replacing family and intimacy with God. The story of Aaron in Exodus 32 is used to illustrate the consequences of not waiting on God and inventing solutions, cautioning against religious activities without spiritual depth.
- When God is not first, confusion reigns: The story of Martha and Mary illustrates that doing the right thing isn't always the essential thing. A life centered on doing can distract from what's most important, which is being at the feet of Christ. Symptoms of confusion emerge when God isn't prioritized, leading to spiritual uncertainty, emotional distress, and impulsive decisions.
- There is power in prioritizing the intimate and the invisible: The kingdom of God moves in the invisible, in faith, prayer, obedience, and intimacy with God. Without secret prayer and intimacy, the Christian life becomes only appearance. God rewards what is done when no one is watching, not what is done to impress.
- When God takes control, everything aligns: Trusting God means surrendering control, not out of weakness, but out of trust. This leads to clearer decisions, lightened burdens, wisdom in place of haste, and life flowing with the rhythm of the kingdom.
- Peace comes from the right priority: The peace of God surpasses all understanding and comes from having God first. This peace protects the heart and mind in the midst of storms and difficulties.
- The results of a life aligned with God produce internal and visible fruits: Prioritizing God produces a profound transformation from the inside out, bringing clarity, strength, healthier relationships, and sensitivity to spiritual things.
The sermon concludes by emphasizing that putting God first is a daily decision and a dynamic relationship with Him, leading to a full life with purpose, balance, peace, and direction. An invitation is given to return to a correct principle and put God first in everything, followed by a prayer for God to be first in all areas of life.
