On her way, she encounters a wolf who asks her where she is going. Little Red Riding Hood tells him she is going to her granny's house. The wolf then hatches a wicked plan.

The wolf runs ahead to Granny's house, eats her up, and then gets into Granny's bed, disguising himself as her.

Little Red Riding Hood arrives at her grandmother's house and notices the wolf in disguise. She comments on the size of the wolf's eyes, ears, and nose, to which the wolf responds that it's so he can see, hear, and smell her better. Finally, she comments on the size of the wolf's teeth, and the wolf declares that it's so he can eat her, and tries to attack her.

A woodcutter in the nearby forest hears Little Red Riding Hood's scream and rushes to the house. He sees the wolf attacking her and hits the wolf over the head, causing him to open his mouth. Granny jumps out, and the wolf runs away, never to be seen again.
