Tartarus, once an explorer, led the Sons of Chaos to a gateway in Wall Slam to access the depths of the digital world. The gateway was guarded by numerous gatekeeper Digimon. The gate required a "Triar Key," involving three prototype Digimon with different attributes (data, vaccine, and virus) at the perfect level, simultaneously attempting to crack the gate. Shu Yulin's Early Research and the Birth of Mind Link [2:02]
Shu Yulin, now a chief of the Digi Police, investigated mysterious AI data at a university, exploring the possibility of another world within the network. She worked under Professor Tomonori Renji, along with Kosuke Kakata and Saia DJI, researching Digimon. They formed Reni Electronics to study and breed these creatures, using an experimental storage device called the Digimon Doc to keep them alive longer. The team captured the first footage through a Digimon's eyes, motivating Professor Renji to develop the Digicore and Mind Link.

AG received a visit from Tartarus, who revealed himself as Kosuke Kakata and explained his motives. Tartarus knew about Professor Iseni and AG's infiltration job, and he let him into the Sons of Chaos because he believed in his worth. Tartarus revealed that he was searching for Black Agumon, Saia's partner. He showed AG a medical-grade stimulant that could potentially restore self-awareness to DMIA individuals by administering it to their Digimon partners in the digital world. Tartarus invited AG to a safe house to plan the reboot of Operation Tartarus, targeting the Gateway to the depths of the digital world.
The Code Cracker Uprising and the Digi Police Response [9:21]
Satsuki reported large-scale code cracker activity in Wall Slam, led by Tartarus, who promised his followers freedom as they marched to the gate of the deep digital world. AG and Lugon were responsible for the uprising. The Digi Police, led by Yulin and Rudon, headed to Wall Slam to prevent the code crackers from interfering with the digital world, walking right into a trap set up by Tartarus.
