Brief Summary

This video is the third lesson in a series that explores the concepts of worship, sin, and their consequences according to Islamic teachings. It emphasizes that worship leads to happiness and is a great trade, while sin leads to loss and destruction. The lesson uses a symbolic story of two soldiers to illustrate the different paths one can take in life and their respective outcomes.

  • Worship is a great trade and leads to happiness.
  • Sin and dissoluteness lead to loss and destruction.
  • The path of worship requires effort but brings ultimate comfort and reward.
  • The path of sin offers apparent ease but leads to fear and regret.

Introduction to the Third Word

The lesson begins with an introduction to the third word, which discusses the great trade and happiness found in worship, as well as the great loss and destruction in sin and dissoluteness. The approach will be to focus on sentences one by one, aiming to cover the entirety of the third word within the lesson. The discussion starts by exploring the relationship between worship and happiness, and sin and destruction.

Worship as a Trade and Source of Happiness

Faith leads to good deeds, including prayers, zakat, and infaq, which are forms of worship. Islam orders surrender, leading to happiness. Practical application of faith brings benefits, and the third word emphasizes trade, where Allah promises heaven in return for selling souls and properties. Failing in this trade results in loss, as stated in the Quran. Engaging in worship leads to happiness, while sin and debauchery result from not fulfilling worship.

Understanding Dissoluteness and Its Consequences

Dissoluteness is described as damage and destruction, where life capital is spent on buying fire instead of freely available worships that lead to heaven. Forbidden pleasures cost money and buy a place in hell. A person who goes to hell turns himself into fuel. Vice and debauchery lead to destruction, and generations are being destroyed by heading towards destruction.

The Story of Two Soldiers: Paths and Outcomes

Two soldiers receive orders to go to a distant city. At a fork in the road, they are told that the right path brings profit and comfort to 9 out of 10 travelers, while the left path brings harm to 9 out of 10. This ratio highlights that not all who live a religious life are saved, and there is no guarantee for anyone. Sincerity and taqwa (consciousness of God) are essential. One should strive for perfection in worship and seek sincerity within the systematic rules of worship.

The Burdens and Comforts of the Right Path

The traveler on the right path carries a bag full of four okkas and two perfect Miri weapons, representing worship and piety. Worship has positive and negative aspects: positive servitude involves direct actions, while negative servitude involves avoiding sins. Piety is like a weapon against the devil. Worships are carried in a bag as essential nourishment for spiritual vitality.

The Soldier on the Right Path

The soldier on the right path takes on loads but is freed from thousands of Batman's gratitudes and fears. Burdens on the head and waist represent supervision, while imagining oneself as Malik (owner) leads to fear and anxiety. Believers are freed from fears and sadness. Carrying the uniform is an added value, providing inner peace and psychological relaxation.

The Unhappy Soldier and the Consequences of Abandoning Duty

The unhappy soldier quits military service, seeking freedom from order. He is free from physical weight but burdened with gratitude and crushed by fears. He faces difficulties throughout the journey, not only in this world but also in the grave and hereafter. Absolute liberalism and the illusion of owning oneself lead to a heavy burden and constant fear.

The Contrasting Fates of the Two Soldiers

The soldier who abandons military order becomes a beggar, while the soldier who loves military order goes with a comfortable heart and conscience. Loving the military order means recognizing the need for worship and finding pleasure in it. Seriousness and sincerity are essential, with piety being the seriousness dimension. The different perceptions at the point of arrival reflect their experiences during the journey.

Worship and Piety as the Path to Security and Assurance

The path of life passes through the world of spirits, the grave, and the hereafter, with worship and piety as the bag and weapon. Worship has a superficial weight, but its meaning brings comfort and lightness. Patience is essential in worship, and seeking help with patience and Salat (prayer) is emphasized. Discomfort from not worshipping can be a blessing, and prayer is the pillar of religion.

Trust in God and the Source of Courage

Trust in God is hidden within worship, and being Islam (submission) involves action. The purpose of worship is to rise to the level of worshipping as if seeing God. Faith gives complete assurance, and the source of courage is faith and servitude. Seeing everything as subject to God's order brings hope and reliance on tawakkul (trust in God).

The Importance of Security and Faith

Security makes a person safe from fears, and safety is the basis for happiness. Worship and taqwa provide a secure environment. The source of courage is faith, and cowardice is the opposite. Fear also has its own logic, protecting life and keeping one alert against polytheism and blasphemy.

The Limits of Human Power and the Value of Faith

Although man needs endless things, his capital and power are limited. Without faith, even the slightest calamity can knock one down. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) faced great troubles but remained steadfast due to the strength of his faith. Dreams and ambitions will not fit into a 60-year life, and man is programmed for eternity.

The Path of Servitude and the Treasure of Eternal Happiness

Worship, trust in God, and submission to Oneness bring great profit and blessing. The path of servitude is harmless and offers a 9 in 10 chance of eternal happiness. The path of dissoluteness carries a high risk of eternal destruction. Experts like prophets and pious individuals inform and represent the issue of heaven and hell.

The Real Happiness in Worship and Gratitude for Being Muslim

The real happiness of this world and the hereafter is in worship and being a soldier of Allah. The greatest blessing is the blessing of faith, and life is the greatest blessing for us. When the blessing of guidance and faith is gone, our spiritual body dies. We need to realize and be grateful for the blessing of being Muslim and constant in worship.
