Bamanwas Kankar in Kotputli-Behror district has been declared the first fully organic village in Rajasthan, and also the first in North-West India. The certification was provided by NPOP (National Program for Organic Production) with assistance from COFED (Koforming Federation of Organic Society and Producer Company). COFED aims to convert 300 more villages in Bikaner, Alwar, Kotputli-Behror, and Bhilwara districts into organic villages.
